The Peace of Your Children

Hello friends!  It's Saturday so that means its time for another card for Daydream Designs!

For my card I chose to use a verse from the new set Dream Team Scripture Set 3.  A while back Diane asked those of us on the design team to give her our favorite scriptures.  Diane has done an amazing job turning them into beautiful word art for us!  The sets were just released this week and while it was hard to choose which one to use first I have to admit I chose to use the verse I selected:

"All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children."  Isaiah 54:13
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my children.  Honestly, my life revolves around them.  It is my heart's desire to see each of my children come to know the Lord personally and choose to follow hard after Him all their lives.  The Word of God is my compass in every decision I make regarding them.  It's not always the most popular thing as they get older, but I know someday I will have to stand before the Lord and give account for how I have raised them and I want to hear Him say "well done, good and faithful servant".

Being that my card has a sentiment about children I decided to use a digital image I won from Janet called Baby Buttons.  If you click on her name it will take you to her etsy shop.
This delicious paper and the die cut at the top are from a Kaiser Craft pad called Magnolia Grove.  It really has some lovely papers and this one looked so vintage-y I thought it was perfect.  The lace was in my newly organized stash (I LOVE that it is so organized and I can see exactly what I have!).  And get this, I only trimmed off about 1/8" from the length.  It was the exact size I needed!  I love when that happens!  (And that means I used up another little bit of my stash!)  The button was in a jar of buttons I have that I bought at my local craft shop.  She has a huge bin of random buttons and for a certain price you can fill her jar.  (My boys and I sat for about an hour one day picking out matching buttons and putting them in the jar.  They had so much fun picking out the ones that looked like baseballs and various food.  I must admit they were much younger then!)  I made the pins with beads from my stash.
The inside is pretty simple.  I think I'll be using this card for a friends daughter who is happily expecting her first baby in February (I'm rooting for the 19th!).

I will be entering my card in the challenge over at :
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes

I think that's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Blessings & Hugs,

Michelle
