Hello again friends. It's Sunday and that used to mean a new card for Stampin' Sisters in Christ. But as you may know our beloved Kris has decided she needs a break to spend more time with her family. I certainly understand how much her family means to her and know she has made the right decision. I'm not sure what I will post on Sundays, but I'm sure the Lord will show me.
For today I have a card I made for my very dear mother-in-law. Her birthday is tomorrow (she will be 79) and we are celebrating with her today.
I used an image from Gallery Cat on etsy. I couldn't find this collage set in the shop right now but she has so many gorgeous sheets I know you could find something fabulous to work with! I used the sketch at Deconstructed Sketches, rotated. The background is a great paper with a newspaper type feel. The strips are vellum which I embossed so you could still see the DP underneath.
It's a bit hard to see, but I used a new die by Becca Feeken for the corner piece. I punched it from vellum. The vellum and birthday stamp are oldies from my stash. The green ribbon I ran through the edges of the die is also from my stash.
I used the same DP on the inside.
I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Deconstructed Sketches - Sketch
Catch the Bug - Anything Goes
Fun with Shapes & More - Must use a die/punch - Anything but Christmas
Inspire Me Fridays - Anything
Pause Dream Enjoy - Use Your Forgotten Stash
Stampin' for the Weekend - Texture
Crafty Ribbon Challenge - Use at Least 2 Ribbons
Delightful Challenges - Add Flowers
I think that's about it. Thanks for taking a peek!
Blessings & Hugs,
Michelle
