Easter Box

Hello lovely friends!  It's a beautiful day here.  I hope the sun is shining on you wherever you are like it is here  :)

I made a fun project for a bunch of challenges today.  It makes my brain work to figure out how to take what I have and make something that will satisfy all the challenge blogs I like to follow.  I think this one turned out pretty good.  :)  First of all I used Callie & her bunny Bam Bam from the super talented Sassy Cheryl.  Her images are too cute....and she adds lots of bunnies!  I love that!  Anyway, here's Callie:
The exposure on this picture isn't very good, but you can still see what a cutie she is.  And she has her bunny which is making her very happy  :)  I colored her with my Prismacolor pencils.

This isn't a card though.  The sweet ladies over at Stampin' Sisters in Christ wanted to see something movable today and the lovely ladies at Cooking It Up With Katie want a different fold.  So..... here's what I did!
I made an awesome box!  Right after Christmas (and before my accident) I was looking at lots of blogs and bouncing all over the place.  Somehow I ended up here and found this great tutorial on how to make these boxes.  Her instructions and measurements are spot on!  Go check it out if you want to make one of these for yourself.  Callie looks better in this picture.  I took it outside..... I thought I would be so clever and take the pictures in my flower bed this morning since my daffodils are still blooming and looking gorgeous.  Only, dummy me didn't think about the fact that my box is waaaaaay shorter than my daffodils and when I zoom in to get a good shot of the box all you can see of the flowers is the stems.  Hello!  This one flower did feel sorry for me though and bowed his beautiful head to be in the picture.  Wasn't that nice of him?

So, do you want to see the inside?  Hold onto your seat!
Isn't that great?  Oh, the treasures you could put inside this lovely creation!  This box is just going to be for me I think but I'm already wondering which of my lovey friends needs one of these and what I could put inside for them!  Chocolates are the first thing that come to my brain.  But, for those that know me that is not a surprise!

Now, see that lovely little hat for the top of the box?  The sweet ladies at City Crafter want to see hats on our creations this week.  When I was at Sassy Cheryl's looking at all the cutie girls for an Easter themed creation none of those cuties were wearing a hat.  So I had to add one a different way.
Since I didn't have a little one in my stash I decided to make one.  I crocheted this little masterpiece last night.  I used #5 pearl cotton from my stitching stash.  I think it turned out very sweet.  The pearl cotton has a great sheen.  Better than crochet cotton (which I no longer have since I gave it all away a few years ago).  I crocheted a little flower too since the ladies at The Shabby Tea Room want us to make our own flowers.  (They also had a LOVELY photo where I found my color inspiration)  I added my feathers which I do love and a small pearl spray.  Great Easter bonnet don't you think?
This shot is probably a little better than the one in the flower garden.

I am entering my creation in the following challenges:

Cooking It Up With Katie - Fold Me a Fun Flower (I think this is fun  :)  it has a flower and its a different fold!)
City Crafter - Hats
The Shabby Tea Room - Photo Inspiration and Make Your Own Flowers
Paper Sundaes - Easter
Digi Tuesday - Easter
Top Tip Tuesday - Easter
Paper Shelter - Easter

Whew!  What a long post today!  Gosh I was chatty!  If you have made it this far I thank you  ;)

Thanks for taking a peek!

Blessings & Hugs,

Michelle
