Be Still

Happy Saturday friends!  I hope you are having a wonderful day where ever you are.

Today I have another card featuring more word art from Daydream Designs.  I used another scripture from the sets Diane made for the Design Team.  Find it here.
This is a wonderful verse from Psalm 46:10.  "Be still and know that I am God."  Sometimes we need to sit still and listen.  Wait on the Lord.  When my heart is worried or frantic I find a quiet place and tell the Lord everything.  Then I spend time just sitting.  Waiting for His peace to flood over me.  He is all-powerful and all-knowing.  He has everything in control even if I can't see it.
For my paper I used Bella Rose Backgrounds from iralamija over on etsy.  It is a beautiful set. I am eyeing more of her sets.  I'm sure I'll be getting more soon!  I had a fun time shopping at Joanns all by myself on Sunday.  Yes!  All by myself!!  Since we live an hour from the closest craft/fabric store I rarely go by myself.  My daughter rode along with me but she went to the bookstore and pet store while I wandered around for over an hour!  I haven't looked at the trims in a long time and was delighted to see what they had.  I bought a few and when they go on sale I'll be going back for more.  The pink lacey trim was all one piece.  I made a bow from seam binding and added a flower that was actually on a strip sold by the yard.  I added a pearl to the center of the flower.  I hung my tag from a couple jump rings and a piece of pearl cotton that I tied in a bow around the big bow.
Some sewing and pearls finish off this card.

I think that's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Blessings & Hugs,

Michelle

  3. Oh, Michelle! I love dainty shabby chic and this creation is the epitome of all I love about sc. What gorgeous colors and love all the lacey/crochet touches. And you have so beautifully displayed the scripture verse. It's so creative to have it oriented that way. Definitely a great inspiration for getting out of my box!! Blessings, sweet friend!
