Tiddly Inks - Thank You

Hello again!  I should really spread out my posts, but I don't seem to get my cards made during the week.  So, I'm on here on the weekends!  Here's number 2 for today.

I chose this sweet image, Wryn & Emmy, from Tiddly Inks.  They are so cute.  I used them a couple months ago I think it was, right here, and gave the card to my best friend.  She rushed to the hospital after my accident and helped take care of me.  She is such a dear friend and I wanted to thank her somehow.  (She loved the card btw)

The challenge on the Tiddly Inks Challenge Blog is to say Thank You.  (I just realized both cards I made with this image were Thank You's.  Must be a good image for that, huh?)  I colored these cuties with my Prismacolor pencils.

I have quite a few challenges I am entering this card in and they gave me all my inspiration for this card (see the list below). 

My beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid.  I added Stickles to the flowers.  This is a girly card for sure!

The heart charm hanging from beads was inspired by the challenge over at Cooking It Up With Katie.

Sassy Cheryl's May Flowers

Hello friends!  It's been a few days since I've been on here, but I was busy last night and today making a couple cards.  I've had a good time, and I hope you enjoy your visit.

First up today is a card I made for the challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's.  The challenge this week is May Flowers.  I chose this sweet image called Avery's Big Flower.  She was so much fun to color.  She has such a happy face.

I used my Prismacolor pencils to color her and I added some clear Stickles to the edge of her skirt.

I used the sketch from Sketch & Stash this week.  It's a great sketch and the part that is from my stash is the dark burgundy ribbon with the flowers.  That ribbon is over 12 years old.  Maybe over 15.  That makes it vintage right?  Is it worth more?  lol idk but it matches well. :)   I have a whole spool of it.  I wonder how long it will last  :)  lol

Hey Girlfriend!

Hello again friends!  I didn't make it back here yesterday.  I managed to get my image colored and my paper cut, but I battled a wicked headache all day so I wasn't able to finish my card.  It's done now though!

I used a great image from Sassy Cheryl's called Sam's Rainy Day.  I think she is so cute peeking out from under her umbrella.  Unfortunately I missed the challenge I was going to put her in.  Oh well.  Hopefully I'll make the challenge for this coming week.  So, here she is.

I colored cute, little Sam with my Prismacolor pencils.  I blended the colors on the umbrella with my odorless mineral spirits.  I like how it turned out.

The DP was from my stash.  The seam binding and flowers are from Wild Orchid.  I used lace and ribbon from my stash and added some pearl sprays and adhesive pearls too  :)

I added Stickles to the flowers.  I don't always but it sure makes the card look bright and cheery  :)

I embossed the solid color squares with an Impressabilities die.  I really love this one.  It's pretty but it can also be fun and playful.

Relax...It's Your Birthday!

Hello again dear friends.  I have been busy this week with school and sewing for my friend's quilt shop so this is the first card I have made all week.  I missed it and it felt good to make one!

Today I have a card for the challenge over at Mo's Challenge Blog.  This week they want us to use out favorite color combo.  Now, that's a hard one.  Favorite for what?  For me?  My house?  My girls?  My boys?  Since one of my boys has a birthday tomorrow I used his favorite combo of blue and green.  I used Mo's great image, Buds. 

Isn't he adorable?  I LOVE Mo's images.  I have sooooo many!  I refuse to count, I don't want to admit how many I have!  lol  And she has these new baby fairies....OMG!  They will be in my collection very, very soon!!  Anyway, this little guy is so cute.  I colored his hair like my Seth, a little brown, a little red, a little orange, a little blond.  :)  He's adorable too, I think  :)  I used my Prismacolor pencils, of course.  Who knew I would love to color so much at my age?  Goes to show you just never know!



You can't see the DP very well.  I didn't realize my image was so big.  That is a large dog though, isn't it?  It's ok.  Seth loves all the layers and details in my cards.  I hope he likes this one too.  I used the sketch from Papertake.  They always have great sketches!  The burlap, buttons and blue colors were all inspired by different challenges (just check the bottom of my post for the details).

A Hint of Pink

Hello friends!  Thanks for coming by again.  Its been rainy and cold here today.  A good day to make a card!

Today I used a great image from Saturated Canary called Let it Rain.  I've used her before and I think she is wonderful.  Krista's images are all adorable.

I colored her with my Prismacolor pencils.  I love using them.  This one was a little harder since I printed her so small.  I'm getting old.  I think I need some peepers  :)  lol

I used a piece of black cardstock and stamped it with a swirl stamp from Inkadinkadoo in white.  I love, love, love how this turned out.  I may use this color scheme again soon!  The pink fabric is a scrap of needlework linen (Jobelan actually) from a piece I did a long time ago.

You can see the swirls a little better here.  I'm sorry you can't see the detail on the smaller black panel.  I embossed it with my paisley embossing folder.

WAHOO!  I think you can see the swirls here in both black and white!  Bear with me ladies.  As soon as we are done with school I plan to update my blog and get a better setup with my camera.

Avery with Butterflies

Hello again!  Weekends certainly seem to be the best time for me to post.  Grab another cup of tea and see what I have now.

I have made a card for the challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's which is for butterflies.  I've got a couple different ones on my card today.  I've used the new image called Sweet Little Avery.  She is a sweetie!

Look at this cutie!  Don't you love her?  I love the look on her face.  I've colored her again with my Prismacolor pencils.  I've stamped 2 butterflies next to her, but not on the same paper.

Can you see there's a piece of acetate?  I've lifted it up so you can see the butterflies are stamped on it.  The ladies at Stampin' Sisters in Christ wanted to see acetate in our projects this week so this is what I came up with.  Not terribly clever, but its something.

You can see the glare on the acetate in this picture.  My great DP are from MME.  They're called Penny Lane and they are so fun!  I love all of them.  I can't wait to use the papers with the birds.  Too cute  :)  I've used some silk flowers from Michael's this time and a metal butterfly.  I like how all of these look.  Different, but very pretty.

Rainbow Hearts

Happy rainy Saturday to you all!  I hope the sun is shining down on you wherever you are.  Grab a cup of tea and enjoy your stay.

Today I have a card I made for the challenge over at Tiddly Inks Challenges.  I used a sweet image called Wryn - Heartfelt Love.  I love this little girl.  There's just something about her.

I realized I forgot to take a close-up of the image.  Somedays my head just isn't working quite right.  But I was able to get my card made so I am very thankful for that!  My DP is from my stash.  The sketch is my own.  I colored little Wryn with my Prismacolor pencils.  I like how she turned out, especially her hair.

Here's the inside.  This DP is so much fun.  I didn't want to cover it up in here so you can read all of it.  I used a MS PATP for the writing panel.  It seems like I either use them on all my cards or I don't use them at all.  This phase will probably be over soon  :)
