Beautiful Rapunzel

Hello  :)  I'm glad to see you.  Welcome!  I finally finished my next project and I can't wait to show you!

I used the beautiful Rapunzel from Krista Smith of Saturated Canary.  Her images are so, well, beautiful!  I love coloring them.
How is it when I take pictures during the day they appear darker than when I take them in the same place at night?  Maybe someday I'll figure that out.  I colored Rapunzel with my Prismacolor pencils.  I think she turned out lovely.  My daughter says she wants her hair to look like this.  I told her good luck with that!  I think this image has such an elegant look.  Her face is wonderful.  Those beautiful flowers are from Wild Orchid.  I really haven't found any others that I like as well.
It's somewhat difficult to tell in this picture, but my image is on the front of a spiral-bound notebook.  I made this as a journal for my niece for her birthday.  She LOVED the movie Tangled.  In fact, she drew, from memory, the 2 main characters from the movie.  And they look AMAZING!  When I saw this image I knew I needed to get it for her.  The DP is from my stash.  It's good to use up things that have been sitting around for a while.  The great sketch is from Ribbon Carousel.  Since I wanted this to also be a card the image is actually mounted on a pink card.  The green ribbon is not one long piece.  The piece on the right slips under the card and the one on the left wraps around the front of the card.  When the small card is closed it looks just like the sketch, but I now have a place to write a birthday message for her.  I hope you can see the charm dangling under the large flower.  It says "follow your dreams" which I think is appropriate for the movie and a lovely 17 year-old.

This is the back of the journal.  The DP is beautiful.  I'm glad I had a place to show it off.

I am entering this project in the following challenges:
Ribbon Carousel - Sketch
Divas by Design - Charms
Cute Card Thursday - Spring Flowers
Digi Tuesday - Birthdays
Paper Sundaes - Kraft and Charm

This isn't as involved as my cards, but I hope my niece likes it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Blessings & Hugs

Michelle
