Relaxing in the Tub

Hello again blogging friends.  It's raining here today, so I guess I won't be working in my flower beds right now.  I'll show you what I made last night instead.

I used a sweet little image from Sassy Cheryl called Callie's Relaxing Bath.  I just love this little girl.  Her braids pinned up, her skinny little arms.  I can imagine that she spent all day playing outside at Grandma's and Grandma is giving her a bath before bed.  She is making a mess isn't she?
I colored her with my Prismacolor pencils.  I wanted a very blond look for her hair.  I think it turned out pretty good.  I added some rhinestones to the corners.  A little bling is fun  :)
I used the great sketch from Truly Scrumptious.  I think you can see that the panel the image is on is flipping up a bit.  That's because . . . .
. . . . I made it a small card.  And I did that because . . . .
. . . . it's all mounted on a gift bag I made.  There are some great tutorials out there for "box in a bag."  I didn't use any of them because I wanted my bag to be a certain size.  Basically the bottom is a short-sided box and the sides are wrapped with more paper.  I wanted my 6x6 sketch to fit on the front of the bag, plus leaving room for handles at the top.  I also wanted to be able to fit some bath products in there for a gift.  My seam binding and flowers are from Wild Orchid.  (always)  I had fun making this project.  I don't know who will get it eventually, but I'll enjoy looking at it in my studio for the time being.

I am entering my creation in the following challenges:

Sassy Cheryl's - Anything Goes
Papertake - Water, Water Everywhere
Creative Inspirations - purple, green and blue
Paper Shelter - Buttons & Bows

I think that's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek.

Blessings & Hugs

Michelle

  1. Complimenti!!! Mi piace da matti l'idea che il posto dove scrivere è li, semi-nascosto, e non dentro come lo sono tutte le card!!
    Da 'copiare' subitissimo!!
    Brava!!
