Shopping Our Stash #68

Hello, hello and welcome!

Today I have a card for the new challenge over at Shopping Our Stash.  This week our challenge is "3-2-1"  We want you to use 3 of something + 2 of something + 1 of something.  Be sure to tell us your recipe for your card!  I dug deep, deep, deep into my stash this time and found some real treasures!
First, my recipe was: 3 Design Papers + 2 ribbons + 1 charm.  I have been looking for ways to use my ever growing pile of scraps.  Pinterest has become a great source of inspiration!  I used about 6 different cards I saw to come up with this one.  The DP is from a K&Co stack by Susan Winget called Botanicals.  I still love the paper in this stack event though I have had it over 2 years!  The ribbons were found in my recently organized ribbon boxes and the charm was in my stitching stash and has been hanging around for years!!  I used some Delta paint and a sponge brush to "distress" the edges of each square.  Since I haven't picked up my artist's brushes in a few years the paint is also from my stash.
Just a little peek at the DP before I cut my 7/8" (or there abouts) squares.  It's harder to see the prints when they are cut so small, but they really are there!
Here's the inside.  The sentiment says "A little note of thanks".  It's from SU years ago.

I hope you decide to join us this week with our "recipe" challenge.  Be sure to tell us what you used and dig into your stash!

That's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Blessings & Hugs,

Michelle

  7. I like the mosaic, too! Great way to use up paper. I'm impressed you edged each square, as I would have slipped and drawn all over them. :)
