Hello friends! Thanks for stopping by today. I have a card for the challenge over at Sassy Cheryl's where they want to see Spots and Dots. I used the cute Sassy Sally Sits in Wonder. She was so much fun to color. She reminds me of my daughter, Katie. She loved lady bugs when she was little. She still likes them, so I made this card for her birthday. Good thing she doesn't follow my blog!
I used my Prismacolor pencils to color her. No glitter or sparkles this time. Katie isn't the glittery kind. I did add some pearls. She doesn't mind those :)
The sketch is from Sketch & Stash. It worked great with this image. The DP are both from my stash. I have NO idea how old they are, but they are perfect for this card. The eyelet lace is also from my stash. I took off the binding to make it flat and I think it looks great. The beads are from my daughter's stash. She doesn't use them so I'm really helping her out :) I made the sentiment (which the ladies over at Shopping Our Stash want to see) on my computer. I like how it turned out.
On the top panel of the inside I added a pocket and a small sleeve. I plan to put a gift card in the sleeve. The swirls on the edges of some of the panels are from my favorite Inkadinkadoo set. Those swirls are great. The fill in the blank areas without being a distraction.
The bottom panel has another small card to write in. I added the rest of the sentiment in here. My husband started calling our Katie "Katydid" when she was really little. We still call her that but we also call her "Bug". I figured that would be appropriate with the image on this card. I used a MS PATP to surround the small card. I also used my Spellbinders Ovals for the sentiment.
I am entering my card in the following challenges:
Sassy Cheryl's - Spots & Dots
Ribbon Carousel - Anything Goes
