Happy Father's Day

Welcome!  I'm so glad you are here.  It's been hot for a couple days but it has cooled down now.  The sun is setting and the peepers are starting their song.  I just love summer!

Summer brings some great times for my family.  My husband loves to take our boys fishing.  Our Ben could fish all day.  He is a very patient boy!  The little guy on today's card reminds me of my little (ok not so little, he's gonna be 13 this summer) boy.  I chose Ricky from Tiddly Inks.  I love the images over there.  My collection is growing!
I colored Ricky with my Prismacolor pencils.  I don't know if my fish is very accurate.  Hopefully my husband won't notice my lack of fish knowledge.
I used a piece of DP that's been in my stash forever.  Not sure why I bought it other than I thought it was cool.  (Just guessing)  I used the whole sheet on this card so I don't have to worry about finding another project for it.  :)  lol  I inked the edges of my papers and sewed my layers together.  Can you see the fishing pole sticking out from the circle?  Finally figured out how to do that!  Yes, I know, pretty slow.  But, it's very cool!
Here's the inside.  I inked the edges of the DP again.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.  The die has been in my stash forever.  I have no idea where it came from.  I sponged it with a couple different shade of grey then added glossy accents to it.  You can't see that in the picture above.  I tried adding a picture of it close up but blogger kept blocking it.  No idea why.  Trust me, it's glossy!
And, here's the back.

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:

Tiddly Inks - Father's Day
Tuesday Alchemy - Anything Goes

That's about it.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Blessings & Hugs

Michelle

  6. So cute! There is no mistake that this is a male's card. BTW, if you're slow then I'm even slower. How did you get the fishing pole to stick out from the circle? I haven't figured it out yet & would love to know.
