Shopping Our Stash #97

Hello and happy Tuesday!  It's time for a great new challenge at Shopping Our Stash!  This week we want you to use your best $1 or bargain bin deal.  You know you love those bins near the checkout where everything is $1.  Why not use one of those fun finds on your project and share it with us this week?

I needed to make a baby card and while I was poking through my stash I found some fun stickers I had forgotten about!

First off I used this adorable vintage image from Saturday Finds.  It comes from the collection New Baby No. 11.  I just love vintage images and this one was perfect for the baby shower card I wanted to make.  I fussy cut the image around the eyelet border.

I inked the edges of the layers (including the image) with a dark burgundy ink.  I also stamped small flowers around the edges of the layers with the same color.  The rhinestone hands and feet are the sweet $1 find I snagged at Michaels probably 2 or 3 years ago.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid.  The beautiful pink rose trim is from Joanns and I added the pearl beads to the middle of each flower (also from my stash).

 The sticker set also included the word "BABY" which I added to the inside.  I used the same sketch as the front for the writing panel.

 All papers, including this one, are from MME.

I really love how this card turned out.  I hope the new mama does too!

Favorite Sewing Machine

Hello friends!  Today I have a card to share with you that I made just for fun.  My boys were gone for the day and I spent a very wonderful day in my studio creating away!  It was a glorious time!

For my card I chose a sweet image from a collage sheet called Sewing 01.  If you haven't visited Beatriz's shop on etsy you really need to!  She has the most beautiful images to work with.

 I chose this sweet vintage image to use.  I added some scrollwork to the corners and sewed the layers.

 I bought several new stacks from MME and I am in love with all the paper!!  This paper is from the stack Lost and Found Two.  See the vintage sewing machine?  That's on one of the sheets.  And I love the old looking yardsticks on the bottom layer.  I inked and sewed all the layers, then added pearls, vintage lace and vintage seam binding.  The flowers are all from Wild Orchid.

 Look at that dress form!  I love that paper!  I didn't add anything to that side, it was perfect just the way it was.  On the writing panel I used some sewing word stamps that are just perfect!

The papers were so beautiful I had to use them on the back too.  It's been a while since I have done the back so much.  I rather like it!
