Hello friends! Welcome again. Pull up a comfy chair and have a look around. I hope you enjoy your stay.
Today I have a project for the challenge over at Mo's Challenge Blog. This week it is Anything Goes. Since it is October I decided to pull out my favorite fall fairy, Fall Fairy Jensen. I know, I know....this is the third time I have used him since Mo introduced him. But he is SO cute you'll forgive me, right?
See? He's adorable, right? This time I tinted the tips of his wings with orange and gave him red hair. I just love this little guy!
Of course my layers are sewn and inked. The text paper is an old SU French Script background stamp. I added lace and ric rac from my stash. My daughter had a box of acorns she collected so I helped myself (with her permission) to a few. These caps were still attached to each other which I thought was very cool. I hung them from some taupe pearl cotton.
Here's the whole project. I made a calendar to go in my studio. Years ago a friend's husband made this plaque for me so I could hang a calendar sheet from it. I haven't used it in years and it took a little searching to find it, but find it I did! I made the calendar myself in Microsoft. The acorn border is from K&Co a couple years ago. It's perfect! I added 2 more acorns. I glued the pearl cotton to the caps so I could hang them. The pearl cotton is simply looped around the card stock.
Here's a close up of the acorns. Can you tell they are real? I spent a while deciding what I should put on here for embellishment and I was so excited when I remembered she had these!
I am entering my calendar in the following challenges:
Mo's Challenge Bog - Anything Goes
Tuesday Alchemy - Anything But a Card or a Tag
Digi Tuesday - Text Me!
Divas by Design - Texture
The Paper Shelter - Anything
I Brake for Challenges - Fall
Shelly's Images - Tic Tac Toe (orange, free, digi)
I think that's about it. Thanks for taking a peek!
Blessings & Hugs,
